PAINTING HOLIDAY TO VENICE

Image description

Guests painting and drawing in a quiet location in Venice

"Painting in Italy’s Venice week is a perfect painting holiday. The hotel on the Lido made a great base, with a long beach only minutes away. The group enjoyed excellent, lively dinners each evening at different restaurants. Venice is always busy, but each morning Charles took us to places where it was possible to work for hours, without the crowds. Painting in Italy is an obvious choice for solo travellers. With no single supplement, no hidden extras, the holiday includes a Vaporetto pass for the week, and a private water taxi to and from the airport. From start to finish, this high end painting holiday is a winner". - Venice September 2018

We have been featuring relaxed and supportive one-week painting vacations in Italy for over 10 years in sublime Italian locations and none come more iconic than Venice out of season when the hordes and the heat have departed and the city once again becomes the perfect artist’s palette.   The painting holiday is perfect for non-painting friends/partners as there is so much to see and do in Venice.  It is also very suitable for single people travelling alone.    Our decision to stay in a hotel on The Lido has been welcomed by all of our guests.  After leaving the tourists behind in Venice what better way to end the day than with a glass of prosecco on the lovely veranda of The Biasutti hotel or a walk along the long stretch of beach looking out over the Adriatic sea before dinner.   The Lido Boulevard has interesting shops with high end fashion, shoes, jewellery and Murano glass and also many terraced bars, ice cream parlours and restaurants.  Venice itself, just a 15 minute vaporetta ride away, has a multitude of things to do and see.
